4/16/07- She just might be. Odds are on her throwing in the towel for the 2007 presidential elections. She's currently a senator for the Front the Victory party (beating out another President's wife btw in that election).
Is she a Hillary Clinton in the making? I say, yeah. So her husband, current President Néstor Kirchner could forego a re-election campaign to avoid term limits. Then after her term, he could run again, thus avoiding the term limit paradox. How peachy.
I'd bet her camp is avidly watching the Hillary Clinton campaign shape up & analyzing the Mrs. Kirchner's chances. Of course Latin America has generally been more open than the U.S. to female presidents. So, her chances? I'd say, pretty good, as long as her hubby Kirchner doesn't make any grave missteps.
Let's keep an eye on this one too, shall we?
