Myrka Dellanos...Trouble En Casa?

Home isn't always peace and quiet...at least these days for the beautiful Myrka Dellanos.  Dellanos recently placed a 911 phone call due to problems in her marriage. According to the press, it is believed Ulysses Alonso, Dellanos' husband has been physically assaulting Dellanos. 

Sources are telling the press problems started when Alonso (16 years younger than Dellanos) moved into Dellanos' home.  For now, Dellanos and Alonso are attending marriage therapy. 

Ulysses is a pharmaceutical salesman by trade.  The two were just married in April of this year.  The two were married in a very brief ceremony.  Dellanos was quoted saying Ulysses was exactly the man she had prayed to find.

Well my friends,...just goes to show...marriage ain't easy...we gotta work at it!

Angelica Rivera & a Mexican Governor Get Cosy

Widower, Enrique Pena Nieto, governor of the State of Mexico...is rumored to have started dating la famosa actriz mexicana...Angelica Rivera.  Sources say, the two met  two met while working on commercial campaigns for the government. 

We are told the two have been dating for 4 months.  Rivera has three daughters with Vernonica Castro's brother, Jose Alberto Castro.

Nieto had a very tough year last year seeing both the passing of his wife in January, and then a few months later in May... four of his personal bodyguards were murdered in a hotel that his family was staying in. 

Here's a wish for happiness for both Rivera and Nieto!

Daddy Yankee and John McCain...Si Se Puede

9/4/08- Daddy Yankee, the reggae town singer from Puerto Rican singer is proud to say he supports Republican candidate John McCain.  During a visit to Central High School in Phoenix, AZ, Yankee said, "I am here to support senator McCain because he is convinced that he is the best man for running the nation."

The Arizona senator John McCain is counting on the Latino vote to bring him to the white house this year and he needs all the support he can get. McCain in turn called the reggaetonero "great leader who’s lived the American dream."

Who Let The Dogs Out? JLo & Marc Anthony in Dog Suit

So your dog maybe bit a flight atendant...and now you're facing a $5 million dollar suit?  Yes, it's all in a day's work for JLo....

Flight attendant Lisa Wilson says Floyd, Lopez's and Marc Anthony's dog, was "attacking her and biting her pant leg" as she walked past.  Wilson says she fell and suffered some serious back injuries.  Originally it was just Lopez that was on the suit, but Wilson's lawyer says actually Anthony is the owner of the dog.  So they've amended the suit to include both of them.
 

The alleged injury happened in 2006 on a flight from Long Island, New York to California.  The lawyer for Wilson says that the owners of the dog should have muzzled the dog or told the flight attendant to stay completely away from the dog.

Ouch, that is what I have to say, ouch.

Why not find a friendly dog JLo?  I like little cute Greyhounds myself...

Gloria Estefan's Daughter Rocks On...

Gloria Estefan has launched a tour presenting her new album 90 millas in Spain.  And there's a special little one joining the tour, and she's called: Emily.  Emily is 13, and is Estefan's daughter.  Emily is playing the drums and electric guitar for her mother's concert tour.  And Emily took center stage garnering much attention among Spanish media outlets.  Gloria Estefan announced her as "la nueva Estefanita."

Estafan's tour is to continue until September 19.  The tour will be visiting various big cities in Europe. Estefan's new album includes a myriad of guest artists including Andy Garcia, Carlos Santana, and Jose Feliciano.

(FYI: 90 millas i.e. 90 miles is the distance between Cuba and Florida)

Shakira Recognized During Alma Awards

Anyone watching the Alma awards?  If you do, you'll see la Shakira receive special recognition for her special educational and humanitarian work.   Shakira, 31, has dedicated a lot of her time and energy to working with or publicizing children in poverty who don't have the opportunity to get the right education and health care.   She's quoted as saying, "All the children I've met who live in extreme poverty have dreams of being teachers, doctors, and lawyers, and education is the key to that."

The Alma awards will be broadcast on Sept. 12th.

Luis Fonsi's Spanish Single More Popular Than English Singles on Olympic Soundtrack

    The answertone "No Me Doy por Vencido" by singer Luis Fonsi, is the most popular from the AT&T Team USA Soundtrack.  It reflects MEdiaMall chart numbers for that week. It is even beating English singles by singers such as 3 Doors Down, Sheryl Crow, Nelly etc. according to a spokesperson from AT&T corporate communications group.  The music tracks are available through iTunes, ringtones, and answer tones, by the AT&T Media Mall.  Plus, wireless tracks are there through Napster Mobile.  All revenues from this song are being donated to Team USA.   I need to check this song out me thinks.

Celia Cruz's Administrator....Facing Fraud Charges

It has been five years since singer Celia has passed away...but there's still a lot of money at stake in royalties.  Recently, a court has ordered Luis Falcon, Celia's administrator to return money that belongs to her sister and stepdaughter, Gladis Bécquer and Ernestina Knight. 

Falcon is scheduled to appear inn court on September 4 to determine the amount of money owed which is estimated to be $415,000 dollars.

Is She Dead?...Angelique Boyer

Is she or isn't she...it's may be a game of websites vs. websites.  

According to a couple of websites, Angelique Boyer, 20, passed away last Wednesday.  One says...the Mexican soap opera actress of Alma de Hierro died after being shot several times by a gang.  And that just 2 days later famous stars like RBD and Christian Chavez showed up just 2 days later on Friday for the funeral.  Flogup.com another site, says that the actress died after hitting a concrete wall with her car in Puerto Vallarta.

All in all...there is no confirmation...and this could just be a really mean joke being played on La Boyer.

Sexy Antonio Banderas Know's Women...

Oh Antonio....the Banderas sex symbol is at it again.  He's got a new smell...it's a fragrance called, "Blue Seduction for Women," and Antonio Banderas' is the one whose name is behind it.  Even though he's almost 48, he is still considered a sex symbol in Hollywood.  The product is being marketed in all over the U.S.  The scent is considered "fresh and seducing".  Antonio though, when asked: if Antonio considers himself to be sensual?  Says, eh....he's turning 48 and is really not quite sure.  He says he's a down to earth person who doesn't rely on labels. Mario López Hits It Extra Extra Big

Mario Lopez loses a girlfriend but gets a new, improved gig with "Extra".  While currently the host of weekend edition he'll soon be heading into the main seat in September.  Current host Mark McGrath plans to work on his music interest while Mario will replace him.

Lopez is looking forward to starting his new job on September 15.  He'll be working with current host Dayna Devon.  And don't look for "Extra" to go anywhere.  "Extra's" been renewed into the 2012 season.

JLo Turns 39 Y'all!

Jennifer Lopez recently celebrated her 39^th birthday with husband, Marc Anthony. 

They settled for a low-key quiet evening together in Manhattan.  Because, their lives are always busy and hectic, they wanted to have a quiet b-day celebration for "La Lopez".

The couple secretively made their way into a Broadway show in the Heights and Anthony later told Ryan Seacrest it was nice to sit in an audience rather than be on stage.  That way they could watch other people be nervous.  The couple said that being a mom and dad, was really making life a beautiful place.

Alejandra Guzmán and Daughter in rehab

Recently, a mother and daughter have gotten themselves in trouble.  Singer, Alejandra Guzman is in a rehab center in Mexico City.  She has been unable to show up to visit her daughter, Frida Sofia, who also has been hospitalized for an alcohol and drug overdose. 

 According to a Mexican journalist, Alejandra is doing well and is expected to be released next week. 

Cristian Castro's Half-Brother to the Rescue

 

Family comes first as far as Cristian Castro is concerned.  But, unfortunately he is currently going through a divorce with Valeria Liberman.  So, his half brother Marcos Valdes has offered his sincere support.  He's claimed that, "Christian, you are my brother, my blood, and I will even sell my house, car, anything so he does not end up in Financial ruin."

Both of the brothers claim that the ex-wife to be is a was only interested in money.  We'll see what happens.  Liberman is asking for millions of dollars that Cristian Castro says he just does not have.  But brother Marcos Valdes has said that Cristian is a good man, with a good heart, and will ensure all of his family members are cared for no matter the difficult divorce proceedings.
