INTERNATIONAL POLO PLAYERS TO COMPETE IN THE 2013 CULTURAL POLO CUP
The Mexican Cultural Institute Selected as the Event's Charitable Recipient.
WASHINGTON, D.C., July 30, 2013 - The Cultural Polo Foundation will host a charity match with recognized international polo players in its second Cultural Polo Cup at noon on Aug. 17 at theVirginia International Polo Club in Upperville, Va.
The Cultural Polo Cup was created to promote cultural awareness and raise funds for artistic, cultural and educational foundations in the Washington, D.C., area. The foundation selected the Mexican Cultural Institute as this year's charitable recipient.
"With more than 500 attendees in 2012's inaugural charity match, the foundation launched its commitment to promote cultural awareness and support 'at-risk' children in the Washington, D.C., area," said Nicolas Baca, Cultural Polo Club co-chair. "We look forward to making this charity match a social annual tradition for polo fans in D.C. and Northern Virginia as well as getting young professionals involved in charitable work."
Guillermo Steta, president of the Mexican Polo Federation,and professional polo players from the United States, Mexico, Colombia, Chile and Argentina will participate in this charity event.
