    Hi everyone!

I am new on here.  I like to talk to fellow hispanics about everything.  My name is Alicia and I live in Utah.  I am originally from Mexico, but I was raised here.  I can speak both spanish and english, but I am learning how to read spanish.  I am 35 years old and going to be 36 next month.  I am a divorced mother of 36 years old.  I love my mexican heritage.  I try to teach my kids to be proud of their heritage.  I watch both english and spanish shows and I also love music.  My favorites are spanish oldies like Juan Gabriel, Roberto Carlos, Julio Iglesias, Luis Miguel, Paulina Rubio, Thalia, Pablo Montero, Trios, Tigres del Norte.  Some reggaton and also Mana.  I also like english like Neil Diamond, celine dion, Paula Abdul, Boyz to Men, and oldies.  I hope to make friends here.

    Re: Hi everyone!

Hi Alicia:  I am not Hispanic, but I really enjoyed your post.  I am a first year student in Occupational Therapy Assistant program at Nashville State Community College in Nashville, TN.  I'm a mom too, though my "kids" are 24 & 22.  We came from pretty close to you in Boulder City, NV (28 miles southeast of Las Vegas), so your Utah location also caught my eye.  I searched the Internet to see if I might be able to locate someone who could help me with a school assignment.

I NEED TO TURN THIS IN BY THIS FRIDAY (so hopefully can have it back no later than Thursday evening.  It shouldn’t take you long to help.)

THANK YOU VERY MUCH – my sphere of reference is just terribly small!
