I
believe homosexuals deserve the same civil rights as any other citizen: they have
the right to be happy, living in the same house with the person they
love, being able to get insurance coverage from their spouse's company,
being able to pay taxes together, to get the benefits of immigration laws, being able to adopt a kid, being able
to be there and make decisions in case their spouse becomes mentally
incapable, being able to inherit from their spouse and to get the
government's pension and retirement savings when the spouse is dead. Is
that all so outrageous? Is it To much to ask? All these could be granted if the government
allowed homosexuals to get married under the civil laws.
I'm not
talking about anything "sacred" related to any church, just the simple
human rights and citizen rights that any other person has.
Now,
would you get married if you are a homosexual? If you are not, would
you support equal rights for every citizen? Tell us your views!
