Met Ball Look: Sofia Vergara in Marchesa & COVERGIRL

COVERGIRL Sofia Vergara at the Met Ball by Makeup Artist Kayleen McAdams

Sofia's bright lip was inspired by the Marchesa collection (she wore a Marchesa dress) and we chose a grapey-pink hue since it's one of Sofia's favorite shades.

I first applied COVERGIRL NatueLuxe Silk Foundation in Nutmeg all over her face using a blender sponge. I then used COVERGIRL TRUconceal Concealer in #4 just where we needed under the eyes and around the nose to keep the makeup sheer. To set the look, I used a big fluffy brush to apply COVERGIRL Clean Pressed Powder in Soft Honey and then used COVERGIRL Cheekers Blush in Plum Plush to complement her lips.

I wanted to create an eye on Sofia that's lighter than usual. I applied COVERGIRL Queen Collection Vivid Impact Eyeliner in Truffle along the bottom lashes from the outer corners to the very inner corners and then applied a lighter line along the lash line at the top to create dimension. I applied in Swiss Chocolate on top of the liner on the lid to create a softer effect and then used COVERGIRL Eye Enhancers 1-Kit Shadowsin Mink along the brow bone. I used two coats of COVERGIRL LashBlast 24HR Mascara in Very Black on the top and bottom lashes to finish the eyes.

I lined the lips first with COVERGIRL LipPerfection Lipliner in Beloved and then filled them in with COVERGIRL Queen Collection Lip Color in Regal Raspberry using a lip brush to create dimension and contour the lips.

We knew we wanted to use a grapey-pink lip color to make Sofia's lips stand out, but we had to play around with three different shades of purple before choosing the one she's seen wearing. Since her look is all about the lips, I wanted to make sure the color stayed vibrant all night long so I gave her the COVERGIRL lip liner and lipstick to keep in her purse before she hit the red carpet.

El color de labios vibrante de Sofia fue inspirado por la coleccion de Marchesa ya que lleva puesto un vestido Marchesa. Escogimos un tono uva rosado porque es uno de los favoritos de Sofia.

Primero aplique COVERGIRL NatueLuxe Silk Foundation en Nutmeg por toda la cara usando una esponja. Luego use COVERGIRL TRUconceal Concealer en #4 solamente donde lo necesitábamos debajo de los ojos y alrededor de la nariz para mantener el maquillaje sedoso. Para asentar el look, usé una brocha grande para aplicar COVERGIRL Clean Pressed Powder en Soft Honey y luego COVERGIRL Cheekers Blush en Plum Plush para complementar los labios.

Quise darle a Sofia un maquillaje de ojos más claro de lo usual. Aplique COVERGIRL Queen Collection Vivid Impact Eyeliner en Truffle a lo largo de las pestanas inferiores desde la esquina exterior a la esquina interior y luego aplique una linea mas clara a lo largo de la pestana superior para crear dimension. Aplique COVERGIRL Eye Enhancers 1-Kit Shadows en Swiss Chocolate encima del delineador en el parpado para crear un efecto mas suave y luego use COVERGIRL Eye Enhancers 1-Kit Shadows en Mink a lo largo del hueso de las cejas. Para terminar los ojos, use dos capas de COVERGIRL LashBlast 24HR Mascara en Very Black en las pestanas superiores e inferiores.

Primero deline los labios con COVERGIRL LipPerfection Lipliner en Beloved y despues los rellene con COVERGIRL Queen Collection Lip Color en Regal Raspberry usando una pincel de labios para crear dimension y contorno en los labios.

Sabiamos que queri­amos usar un color de labios uva rosado para resaltar los labios de Sofia pero tuvimos que jugar con tres tonos purples diferentes antes de escoger el que lleva puesto. Como su look se enfoca completamente en los labios, quise asegurarme que el color permaneciera vibrante toda la noche así que le di a Sofia su delineador de labios y pintalabios de COVERGIRL para que lo llevara en su cartera antes de salir a la alfombra roja.
