Hispanics & Plastic Surgery
The choice to get plastic surgery is individual and below is a general guide on items to think about when considering plastic surgery, especially as a Hispanic.
Hispanics often seek different qualities in plastic surgery than an average Anglo-American patient. Plastic surgeons say Hispanics as a cultural factor may prefer smaller breasts and larger buttocks. Choices of rhinoplasty also differ as Hispanics seek culturally appropriate noses that reflect their heritage.
Rhinoplasty
Experts say rhinoplasty among Hispanics is the third most common in ethnic surgery after Asians and African-Americans, however this number is expected to increase as the Hispanic population grows.
A study published by the American Society of Plastic Surgery identified three distinct nose types among Hispanics. The “Mestizo”nose, characterized by European and Mestizo roots, the “Castillian” nose characterized by European roots most closely similar to Anglo noses, and the “Mexican-American” nose characterized by Mestizo and Castillian influences.
Good questions to ask include:

-

-
